New changes to ammend the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act and the Weights and Measures Act took place on August 1, 2014. Mandatory calibration and inspections will take place at regular intervals and are being phased in by Postal Code. Monetary fines will be imposed on businesses whcih do not comply. ONLY SERVICE PROVIDERS AUTHORIZED BY MEASUREMENT CANADA ARE QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THE NEW INSPECTIONS!
